Omio, Europe’s leading multi-modal travel booking platform announced its partnership with insurtech leader Cover Genius to offer embedded ticket protection, including for COVID-19, to their customers.
London / Berlin, August 9th, 2021: Omio has announced today its partnership with Cover Genius, the embedded insurance company that protects the global customers of the world’s largest digital companies. It is the first time Omio has partnered with an insurtech.
Since its launch, Omio has grown to become one of Europe’s largest travel booking platforms, with more than 27 million monthly users, successfully bringing together huge amounts of data in the fragmented European transport network to create simple, seamless booking experiences.
Through the integration with XCover – Cover Genius’ award-winning global insurance distribution platform – Omio’s customers benefit from tailored protection when they book a ticket, to ensure an instant ticket refund if they have to cancel due to injury or illness, including COVID-19.
